BM Studio / Rank'd

Terms of Use

End user licence agreement for the Rank'd app. Version 1.0, effective 8 October 2026.

The short version

This summary is here to help you read the terms. It is not a substitute for them: the numbered sections below are the agreement.

  • Rank'd is made by Bhushan Malani, an individual developer in India. These terms are an agreement between you and him, not Apple.
  • You need to be at least 13. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to you using Rank'd.
  • Playing is free, and you never have to sign in. Rank'd Pro (a subscription) and Remove ads (a one-time purchase) are optional. Apple takes every payment and handles every refund.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your Apple Account settings, at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • Your photos, captions and names stay yours. Your photos are private: you decide who sees them. Only use photos you have the right to use, and never add anything illegal or hurtful.
  • If you sign in, your games and the packs you make, photos included, are backed up to your account. A backup not used for 24 months is deleted.
  • In a multiplayer room, the host's phone runs the game and receives every player's moves before they are revealed. Play with people you trust.
  • Our Privacy Policy explains what data Rank'd handles and how to delete it.

1. About these terms

1.1 These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and Bhushan Malani, an individual developer based in India ("we", "us" or "our"). They cover the Rank'd app (the "App") and the online services the App uses, such as accounts, online rooms and backups (together with the App, "Rank'd").

1.2 These Terms are also the licence agreement under which the App is distributed on the App Store. By downloading, installing, opening or using Rank'd, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Rank'd.

1.3 Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. It is linked from the App's Settings, from the purchase screen and from the App Store page. Please read it; it is not part of this contract, but it is part of how Rank'd works.

1.4 Some features show extra terms when you use them, for example Apple's terms when you buy something. Those apply to that feature alongside these Terms.

2. Apple and these terms

You got the App from Apple's App Store, so these points apply between you, us and Apple.

2.1 Acknowledgement. These Terms are concluded between you and us only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App and its content. These Terms are not intended to set usage rules for the App that conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (the "Apple Terms") in force on the date you accept these Terms; if anything here does conflict with the Usage Rules in the Apple Terms, those Usage Rules apply.

2.2 Scope of licence. The licence we grant you in section 4 is a non-transferable licence to use the App on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Terms. The App may also be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing, where the Apple Terms allow.

2.3 Maintenance and support. We alone are responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the App, as set out in these Terms or as required by applicable law. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide any maintenance or support services for the App.

2.4 Warranty. We alone are responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent they are not effectively disclaimed. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, you paid for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are our sole responsibility.

2.5 Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and use of it, including: (a) product liability claims; (b) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (c) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.

2.6 Intellectual property claims. If any third party claims that the App, or your possession and use of it, infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.

2.7 Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that (a) you are not located in a country that is subject to a United States Government embargo, or that has been designated by the United States Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (b) you are not listed on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You also agree to comply with the export control and sanctions laws of India, the United States and any other country that apply to your use of Rank'd.

2.8 Developer name and address. Our name, postal address, telephone number and email address, for any questions, complaints or claims about the App, are in section 22.

2.9 Third-party terms. When you use the App, you must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement, such as your mobile carrier's or internet provider's terms of service, the Apple Terms, and Google's terms if you sign in with Google.

2.10 Third-party beneficiary. You and we acknowledge and agree that Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that, once you accept these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

3. Who can use Rank'd

3.1 You must be at least 13 years old to use Rank'd.

3.2 If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use Rank'd only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who must read and agree to these Terms for you. The parent or guardian is responsible for your use of Rank'd, including any purchases. Apple's Ask to Buy and Screen Time features let a parent approve or block purchases.

3.3 Rank'd is not directed at children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 is using Rank'd, we will delete their account as described in our Privacy Policy.

3.4 You must be able to enter into a binding contract, and not be barred from using Rank'd under the laws that apply to you.

3.5 Rank'd is for your personal, non-commercial use.

4. Your licence to use the app

4.1 As long as you follow these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to download, install and use the App for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, within the scope described in section 2.2.

4.2 Except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction, you must not:

  1. copy, modify, translate or create derivative works of the App;
  2. decompile, reverse engineer or disassemble the App, or try to derive its source code;
  3. rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense or redistribute the App;
  4. remove or change any notice of ownership in the App;
  5. get around, disable or interfere with any security feature, purchase or entitlement check, or the display of ads; or
  6. access our online services with anything other than the App, or by automated means such as bots or scripts.

4.3 We and our licensors own the App, its built-in packs (their images, captions and names), the Rank'd name and logo, the Drip character and the App's design. Apart from the licence in this section, these Terms give you no rights in them.

4.4 The App includes software made by others and licensed under its own terms, including open-source licences. Where such a licence gives you rights in that software, those rights apply to it. We will provide the relevant notices on request.

5. Your account

5.1 A guest account is made for you. The first time you open Rank'd, it creates an anonymous guest account for you using Google's Firebase Authentication service. You do not give us a name, email address or password for it. It is what lets Rank'd run online rooms and keep track of what you have bought.

5.2 Signing in is optional. You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email address and password. Signing in links that sign-in method to the account you already have, so your account stays the same, and the game history and packs on your phone are backed up to it (section 9.3). You never need to sign in to play, to buy anything or to make a pack. Rank'd may suggest it, for example after a few games, and you can ignore the suggestion.

5.3 Signing in to an account that already exists. If the Apple Account, Google account or email address you sign in with is already connected to a different Rank'd account, the App switches to that existing account and leaves the guest account on your phone behind. The game history and packs on your phone move to the existing account and are backed up with it. Anything held only by that guest account on our servers stays with it, and it is then treated as an inactive guest account under section 5.6. Purchases made with your Apple Account can still be restored as described in section 7.7.

5.4 Signing out. When you sign out, the App removes your account's backed-up game history and packs from the phone and creates a fresh guest account there. Anything not yet backed up stays on the phone, hidden, until you sign in to the same account there again; it never moves to a different account. Your signed-in account and its backup stay on our servers until you delete them, except as section 9.9 says.

5.5 Keep your sign-in safe. Keep your password and your devices secure, and give accurate information when you sign in. You are responsible for what happens under your account, unless it happens because we failed to take reasonable care. Tell us straight away at the email address in section 22 if you think someone else has used your account.

5.6 Inactive guest accounts are deleted. We delete a guest account from our servers 90 days after the App last contacted our servers using that account. The only exception is a guest account that was used to buy Rank'd Pro or Remove ads: we keep that account until you delete it. Deleting an inactive guest account does not touch anything stored on your phone, such as your game history and your packs. If you open Rank'd again afterwards, it creates a new guest account.

5.7 Signed-in accounts are kept until you delete them, unless we end them under section 15. Their backups are deleted after 24 months without use (section 9.9).

5.8 Deleting your account. You can delete your account at any time in the App, in Settings, under Delete account. This works for guest accounts and signed-in accounts. Deleting a signed-in account also deletes its backup and removes its game history and packs from your phones, and if you signed in with Apple, it tells Apple to remove Rank'd's permission to use your Apple sign-in. For a guest account, you can choose whether to erase the game history and packs on that phone as well. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Our Privacy Policy explains what is deleted and when.

5.9 Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel Rank'd Pro with Apple first (section 7.3). Your purchases belong to your Apple Account, so you can restore them to a new account later.

6. What is free

6.1 These are free, for guests and signed-in players alike: playing every built-in pack in every mode (on your own, passing one phone around, and in nearby and online rooms), your game history, share cards, and making one pack of your own from your photos. Signing in, and the backup that comes with it, is free too.

6.2 The free version shows one small banner ad in two places, as described in section 11, unless you remove ads.

6.3 We intend to keep playing free for good. We may still change free features as described in section 8.

7. Rank'd Pro, Remove ads and paying

7.1 What we sell.

  1. Rank'd Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. Today it lets you make more than one pack of your own and removes ads. We may add more to it. The plans on offer, their lengths and their prices are shown in the App before you buy.
  2. Remove ads is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that removes the banner ads in the App. It does not unlock Pro features.

7.2 Apple takes the payment. All purchases are made through Apple's In-App Purchase system and are also governed by the Apple Terms. Apple charges your payment method; we never see or store your card or bank details. Prices are shown in the App by Apple in your local currency and include any taxes Apple collects. We use RevenueCat, a service provider, to check purchases with Apple and to keep track of what your account has unlocked.

7.3 Automatic renewal. If you subscribe to Rank'd Pro:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or, if you start with a free trial, when the trial ends (section 7.4).
  • The subscription renews automatically for another period of the same length, at the price then in effect, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your Apple Account is charged for each renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in the Settings app on your iPhone (tap your name, then Subscriptions), in the App Store, or from Settings in Rank'd (Manage subscription or Cancel Pro), which opens Apple's subscription page. Rank'd cannot cancel a subscription for you.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. Unless the law or Apple's policies say otherwise, there is no refund for the unused part of a period.
  • Deleting the App or your Rank'd account does not cancel a subscription.

7.4 Free trials and introductory offers. We may offer a free trial or an introductory price. The App shows one only if Apple tells us you are eligible for it; Apple decides eligibility, usually one trial per Apple Account. A free trial turns into a paid subscription automatically at its end, at the price shown when you started it, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. If you buy a subscription during a free trial, any unused part of the trial ends when the purchase takes effect.

7.5 Price changes. We may change subscription prices. Apple tells you before a new price applies to your subscription and, where the law or Apple's rules require, asks for your agreement first. A new price never applies to a period you have already paid for, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

7.6 Refunds. Because Apple takes every payment, we cannot give refunds ourselves. You can ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com or through Apple Support, and Apple decides under its own policies. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the law of your country to a refund, to withdraw from or cancel a purchase, or to any other remedy, including under consumer law in the European Union, the United Kingdom and India. Where you have such a right for a purchase made through the App Store, Apple handles the request.

7.7 Restoring purchases. Restore purchases, on the purchase screen and in Settings, brings back purchases made with the same Apple Account to the Rank'd account you are using on that device. Signing in to the same Rank'd account on another device also brings the purchases recorded for that account.

7.8 If Pro ends. The packs you already made stay on your devices, and in your backup if you are signed in, and you can keep playing, editing and deleting them. Making a new pack beyond the free one needs Pro again. Ads come back unless you bought Remove ads.

7.9 How long Remove ads lasts. Remove ads applies for as long as we offer the App and it shows ads. It is not a promise that the App or any feature will be available forever (see sections 8 and 15). It removes the banner ads described in section 11; the App may still tell you about Rank'd Pro.

8. Changes to features and prices

8.1 We keep working on Rank'd. We may add, change or remove features, packs and modes, and we may start charging for something that is free today. We will not take away a paid feature during a subscription period you have already paid for, or take away the ad removal you bought, except as section 15.3 allows.

8.2 If we make a change that materially reduces what Rank'd Pro includes, we will tell you in advance, in the App and by email if we have your email address, so you can cancel before your next renewal.

8.3 We will try to give reasonable notice before removing a significant free feature. We do not promise that any particular pack or feature will stay available.

8.4 Some updates may be needed to keep using online features, and older versions of the App may stop working with our online services. Players in the same room need compatible versions.

8.5 We may pause online services for maintenance or security, and they may sometimes be unavailable. We do not promise that Rank'd will always be available or free of errors.

9. Your content

9.1 What we mean. "Your Content" means the photos you add to packs, your captions and pack names, your display name, and anything you type into the App, such as feedback.

9.2 You own it. We do not claim ownership of Your Content.

9.3 Where it goes.

  • Packs you make, with their photos, captions and names, are stored on your phone. They can only be played on your own or passing one phone around; they are never sent to a room or to other players. If we ever let you play your packs with other players, we will update these Terms and our Privacy Policy before that is available.
  • Your photos are private: you decide who sees them. Rank'd never sends them to other players; they see your photos only if you show them your phone or share a card.
  • If you are signed in, your packs (including their photos) and your game history are backed up to our servers and restored to your other devices when you sign in there. Your history includes the display names and tiles of the people you played with. A guest's packs and history never leave that phone.
  • Your display name and player tile are shown to the other players in any room you join, and they are saved in those players' game history on their phones, and in their backups if they are signed in. When you host a nearby room, your display name is also shown to phones nearby that have Rank'd open.
  • Share cards you export are images you control. They can include your photos and other players' display names and choices.

9.4 The permission you give us. For the parts of Your Content that leave your phone through a feature you use, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, display and process that content only as needed to run that feature for you: showing your display name and moves to the players in your rooms, and backing up and restoring your packs and history for your account. We do not use Your Content for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence. Your Content is never sent to our usage analytics: they may record facts about it, such as how many photos a pack has or whether feedback included a note, but never the photos, captions, names or words themselves, as our Privacy Policy explains. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for (a) copies in backup systems, which are deleted on the schedule in our Privacy Policy, and (b) what other players have already received in a room, such as your display name in their history on their phones, which we do not control.

9.5 Your promises. You promise that you have every right and permission needed for Your Content. In particular: you took each photo or are allowed to use it; everyone who can be recognised in a photo has agreed to it being used this way, and a parent or guardian has agreed for anyone under 18; and Your Content does not infringe anyone's copyright, trade mark, privacy or publicity rights, or break any law.

9.6 Content that is never allowed. You must not add to Rank'd, use as a display name, or share through Rank'd anything that:

  1. sexually exploits or endangers children, or is sexual content involving anyone under 18. We have zero tolerance for this and report it to the authorities where the law requires;
  2. is obscene, pornographic or sexually explicit;
  3. threatens, promotes or glorifies violence, terrorism or self-harm;
  4. harasses, bullies, humiliates or insults anyone, or attacks people for their race, ethnicity, caste, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other protected characteristic;
  5. shares intimate images of anyone, or private information about anyone such as their address, phone number or identity documents, without their consent;
  6. belongs to someone else and you have no right to use, or infringes anyone's copyright, trade mark or other rights;
  7. is defamatory, fraudulent or deceptive, knowingly spreads false information meant to mislead or harm, or impersonates a person or organisation;
  8. threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, its relations with other countries or public order, or incites the commission of an offence;
  9. contains malware or harmful code; or
  10. breaks any law that applies to you or to us.

Our backups are not a place to store anything that is illegal to possess.

9.7 What we may do. We do not look at your photos unless the law requires it or we need to in order to deal with a report made to us. Apart from feedback you send us, we do not routinely look at the rest of Your Content, and we are not responsible for it. Where the law requires or allows, we may remove or disable content, including in backups, that breaks these Terms or the law, suspend or end accounts under section 15, and cooperate with the authorities. To report content or a player, email us at the address in section 22.

9.8 Keep your originals. Rank'd copies the photos you pick; it never changes or deletes the originals in your photo library. Backups are a convenience, not a guarantee. Keep your own copies of anything that matters to you.

9.9 How long backups last. Each account's backup has a storage limit, and photos over it are not backed up. When you delete a pack or a round on a phone signed in to your account, it is deleted from the backup and from your other devices too. If an account's backup has not been used for 24 months, we delete it, without notice. A backup is used whenever you open Rank'd while signed in to that account. Deleting an inactive backup does not delete the account, or anything stored on your phones.

10. Playing together

10.1 You can play with others in a nearby room, where phones connect directly to each other over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, or in an online room, which runs through our servers. Anyone who has a room's code, or who is nearby with Rank'd open, can ask to join a room's lobby, so share codes only with people you want to play with. Rooms play built-in packs only; packs you make cannot be played in them (section 9.3).

10.2 The host's phone runs the game. It receives every player's moves as they are made, before they are revealed to anyone else, and checks them. A host phone running a modified version of the App could reveal moves early. If the host leaves, another player's phone takes over and receives the moves in the same way. Only play in rooms with people you trust.

10.3 Section 9.6 applies to display names, and section 12 applies to how you behave in rooms.

10.4 Connections can drop, and we cannot promise that every round finishes. A player who leaves before finishing may be left out of the result.

10.5 The data for an online room is deleted when the room closes, or within 24 hours of the room's last activity.

11. Advertising

11.1 Unless you have Rank'd Pro or Remove ads, Rank'd shows one small banner ad, labelled as an advertisement, at the bottom of the History screen and on the screen where you wait for other players. It shows no ads anywhere else.

11.2 Ads are provided by Google AdMob. They are non-personalised: they are not chosen from a profile of you or from tracking you across other apps and websites. Where the law requires it, Google asks for your consent first, and you can change your choice later in Settings, under Privacy choices. Our Privacy Policy explains what Google collects.

11.3 We ask Google to limit ads to content suitable for general and parental-guidance audiences, but we do not choose individual ads and we are not responsible for advertisers' products, websites or claims. Anything you do with an advertiser is between you and them. Please report an inappropriate ad to us at the address in section 22.

12. Acceptable use

When you use Rank'd, you agree not to:

  1. break any law, or anyone's rights;
  2. harass, threaten, bully or impersonate anyone;
  3. cheat by modifying the App, tampering with game traffic, or using a host phone to look at or change other players' moves;
  4. interfere with or disrupt our online services, overload them, or get around their security rules or access controls;
  5. try to reach data you are not entitled to, such as another player's account, private moves or backups;
  6. use bots, scripts or unofficial apps, or create accounts in bulk or by automated means;
  7. get around purchases, entitlements or the display of ads, or resell access to Rank'd;
  8. use Rank'd for commercial purposes without our written permission;
  9. upload malware, or use the feedback form to send spam or unlawful content; or
  10. help anyone else do any of these things.

If you find a security problem, please report it to us at the address in section 22 and give us a reasonable time to fix it before telling anyone else. We will not pursue good-faith research that respects other players' privacy and does not disrupt Rank'd.

13. Our content, and feedback you send

13.1 The built-in packs, including their images and text, are owned by us or used under licence, and are provided only for use in the App. Some built-in images are photographs licensed from their photographers under the Unsplash License. You may not extract them from the App.

13.2 If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely to improve Rank'd, without any obligation to you. Feedback you send from the App is not linked to your account, and our usage analytics do not record it, as our Privacy Policy explains.

14. Other companies' services

14.1 Rank'd relies on services from other companies: Apple (the App Store, In-App Purchase and Sign in with Apple), Google (Firebase, Google Sign-In and AdMob), RevenueCat (purchase records) and PostHog (usage analytics and crash reports). When you sign in with Apple or Google, their own terms and privacy policies also apply to that sign-in.

14.2 We are not responsible for those companies' services, for their availability, or for websites and ads they link to, except where the law makes us responsible.

14.3 You are responsible for any data charges from your mobile carrier or internet provider.

15. Suspension and termination

15.1 You can stop at any time. Delete the App, delete your account in Settings, and cancel any subscription with Apple.

15.2 We may suspend or end your access to online features, or your account, if: you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms; the law or an authority requires it; it is needed to protect other players, us or our services, for example against fraud or a security threat; or a guest account becomes inactive under section 5.6. Where it is reasonable and lawful, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. If we end your account because you broke these Terms, do not create a new one to get around that.

15.3 We may stop offering Rank'd, or any part of it, by giving at least 30 days' notice where we reasonably can. If that happens during a subscription period you have paid for, you can ask Apple for a refund for the unused part, and we will support your request.

15.4 What happens next. When these Terms end, your licence ends and you must stop using and delete the App. Sections 2, 9.4 (for as long as it lasts), 13, and 16 to 21 continue to apply.

16. Disclaimers

16.1 Rank'd is a game. Its match percentages and results are for fun and mean nothing more.

16.2 To the extent the law allows, Rank'd is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors, that backups will never fail, or that it will meet your particular needs.

16.3 In many countries, including in the European Union, the United Kingdom and India, consumers have legal rights that cannot be excluded, for example that digital content must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. Nothing in these Terms affects those rights. Section 2.4 explains Apple's role if the App does not conform to a warranty.

17. Limitation of liability

17.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

17.2 If you live in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable. If digital content we supply damages a device or other digital content of yours because we failed to use reasonable care and skill, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation. Sections 17.3 and 17.4 do not apply to you.

17.3 Otherwise, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss or damage, or for any loss of profits, business, goodwill or data, arising out of or in connection with Rank'd, even if we were told it was possible.

17.4 Otherwise, to the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims arising out of or in connection with Rank'd is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid for Rank'd purchases in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) INR 4,000 (four thousand Indian rupees).

17.5 Rank'd is for personal use. We are not liable to you for any business loss.

18. Responsibility for your content

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate us for reasonable losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that we incur because of a claim by someone else arising from Your Content breaking section 9.5 or 9.6, or from your deliberate breach of section 12. This does not apply to the extent the loss was caused by us, and it does not apply where the law that protects you as a consumer does not allow it.

19. Disputes and governing law

19.1 Talk to us first. If you have a problem with Rank'd, please contact us at the address in section 22 and describe it. We will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days, and we ask you to give us that chance before starting court proceedings. This does not stop either of us from seeking urgent relief from a court, and it never stops you from complaining to a consumer authority, data protection authority or other regulator at any time.

19.2 Governing law. These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or with Rank'd, are governed by the laws of India. Subject to section 19.3, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India have exclusive jurisdiction.

19.3 Your rights as a consumer where you live.

  • If you are a consumer living in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
  • If you are a consumer in India, you may also file a complaint with the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or contact the National Consumer Helpline.
  • If you are a consumer anywhere else, any consumer protection law of your country that cannot be excluded by contract still applies to you.

19.4 Nothing in these Terms requires arbitration, and nothing in them takes away any right you have to bring or join a class, collective or representative action.

20. Changes to these terms

20.1 We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the law, in Rank'd or in how we run it. The version and effective date at the top show which version applies.

20.2 If a change is material, we will tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect, in the App and by email if we have your email address, unless we have to make it sooner because of a legal requirement or to address a security risk.

20.3 If you keep using Rank'd after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply to you. If you do not agree to them, stop using Rank'd, delete your account and cancel any subscription before the change takes effect. A change does not apply to a dispute that arose before it took effect.

21. General

21.1 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with any terms shown when you buy something and the Apple Terms as they apply, are the whole agreement between you and us about Rank'd.

21.2 Severability. If a court or authority decides that any part of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, that part is changed as little as needed to make it enforceable, or removed, and the rest of these Terms stays in force.

21.3 No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.

21.4 Assignment. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours to a person or company that takes over Rank'd, if that does not reduce your rights under these Terms, and we will tell you if that happens.

21.5 Third-party rights. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these Terms as section 2.10 says. Nobody else has any right to enforce them.

21.6 Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as outages at our service providers, internet failures, natural disasters or government action.

21.7 Language. These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version prevails unless the law requires otherwise.

21.8 Notices. We may send you notices in the App, or by email if we have your email address. You can send notices to us at the addresses in section 22.

21.9 Headings and summary. Headings and the short version at the top are there to help you read these Terms and do not change their meaning.
